    Araven products are distributed worldwide. In the United States, they are available through CFS Brands. Sales channels may vary by region, but Araven does not sell directly to hospitality businesses. Instead, distribution is handled exclusively through specialized distributors and Cash & Carry wholesalers.   • 1976

    Araven was founded in Zaragoza, Spain. From the very beginning, the company specialized in plastic injection products for food storage and kitchen use.

  • 1977

    Development of the first mold.

  • 1978

    Start of domestic sales to major clients.

  • 1987

    Launch of products for the hospitality industry. Entry into the “hostelry” sector.

  • 1989

    Expansion of specialized product ranges for the industry, such as the Hermético Gastronorm (airtight containers in Gastronorm standard).

  • 1990s

    Strengthening international expansion. Entry into overseas markets in both the retail (supermarkets, etc.) and hospitality sectors.

  • 2005

    Launch of Shop & Roll, a product line including shopping baskets and carts.

  • 2007

    Start of production in Mexico. Expansion of international manufacturing and distribution capacity.

  • 2018

    Opening of new facilities in Villanueva de Gállego, Spain, expanding warehouse and office space.

  • 2020

    Launch of the “Oceanis” line, promoting environmentally conscious and sustainable products. For example, carts and baskets are made with recycled materials such as fishing nets recovered from the ocean.

    At the same time, integration with the company GRUPO OM Comunicación Visual, strengthening business lines related to both hospitality and retail/distribution.

    Restructuring of international sales and distribution systems. Greater emphasis on sustainability. Obtained certifications such as “Aragón Circular” from the Government of Aragón. Expanded implementation of ISO quality and environmental management systems.

  • 2023

    Unification of the retail brand under “Shop & Roll.” Hospitality division continues under the “Araven” brand. Renewal of integrated certifications in Quality Management (ISO 9001:2015) and Environmental Management (ISO 14001:2015). Received awards for product design.

  • 2024

    In June, the retail division for shopping baskets and carts was legally separated as “Shop & Roll España, S.L.”
    In July 2024, U.S.-based CFS Brands acquired Araven S.L.U. Araven continues to operate as an independent company.
